Our Team

Who are us?

We are a team that consists of medical experts, biomedical engineers, AI experts, and PhD students from Universiti Malaya that work on investigating AI solution for knee osteoarthritis problems. This project is led by two researchers: Prof. Goh Siew Li and Prof. Lai Khin Wee.

ASSOCIATE PROF. DR. GOH SIEW LI

Prof. Goh is currently working in Sports Medicine Unit, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). Her research interest includes musculoskeletal medicine, physical activity and exercise medicine, sports injuries and rehabilitation, systematic review, network meta-analysis, lower limb, and biomechanics.

ASSOCIATE PROF. IR. TS. DR. LAI KHIN WEE

Prof. Lai received his PhD from Technische Universitat Ilmenau, Germany and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) under DAAD PhD Sandwich Programme, and conferred with Chancellor Award from Queen of Johor. He is currently an Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering Department, Universiti Malaya.

TEOH YUN XIN

Ms. Teoh received the B.Eng. degree (Hons.) in biomedical engineering (prosthetics and orthotics) from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, where she is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree. Her research interests include image processing, machine learning, and rehabilitation engineering.
